Caran d'Ache Neocolor II™ Watersoluble Wax Crayon - 40 Set

Explore water-soluble colour and experiment with the highly pigmented Neocolor II Wax Oil Pastel Sets. Perfect for dry drawing, or transform with water for fluid expressive watercolour effects, blending, underpainting or mixed-media techniques. Use on a variety of different surfaces.

Use the pastels directly for bold, colourful drawing or add water to soften marks, create washes and move pigment across the surface. Experiment with layering, blending, colour mixing and expressive mark-making to discover different ways of working.

The soft, velvety texture offers excellent covering power without creating dust, while the highly pigmented colours provide a bright, satisfying result.

Experiment with the edge and side of the pastel, apply colour directly to wet surfaces or dissolve pigment with a brush. Try glazing, scraping, sgraffito, rubbing or ink-wash techniques to discover the full versatility of the medium.

Whether you're beginning your artistic journey, looking for a portable creative set or introducing water-soluble techniques to your practice, each collection offers a versatile toolkit for sketchbook work, illustrations, experimental mixed-media work, journalling and fine art, Neocolor II encourages an intuitive approach to colour and creative freedom.

Set 40: A versatile colour palette for those artists who want greater flexibility at their fingertips without the need to colour mix.
