The watercolours in this set have been chosen very specifically with colour mixing in mind. Included are Cadmium yellow hue and Pyrole red - these two mid primaries have been chosen so you can mix to the full spectrum of colours when combined with either of the 2 blues, Ultramarine blue or Phthalo blue. These two biased blues will allow you to mix rich secondary and tertiary hues.
Mix the Cad Yellow Hue with Phthalo Blue to get great green grass and bright popping greens or mix the Cad Yellow Hue and Ultra Blue for more subdued olive greens and distant bushland. The Pyrrole red and Ultra Blue are great for rich purples and violets or mix the Pyrrole red and Phthalo blue for deep dark, cool shadows. Black completes the set.
