About the Author
Peter Cosentino was born in Lauria, Southern Italy in 1951 and came to the UK in 1956.
Teacher trained in art and design at Wocester College of Education, he taught in secondary schools until 1979 when he left teaching to set up his pottery workshop in Yardley, Birmingham. He opened and craft pottery shop/gallery 'Gallery 21'
In 1981 he was appointed lecturer of ceramics at Bletchley College (now part of Milton Keynes College) where he went on to establish the first full time Art and Design Courses.
He was appointed Head of School of Art and Design at Rugby College (now part of Warwickshire College) and left education in 2006 to return to producing ceramics full time.
